IMPORTANT: While we endevour to do our best to ensure that the details in each template are correct, we understand and accept that the interpretation of award conditions may differ between businesses.
We recommend these templates as a starting point only and to check and confirm that you are paying to the correct conditions for your payroll requirements. Specifically, we refer to Clause 5 on Page 4 of our Master Services Agreement, https://www.clockon.com.au/msa which references the customer's responsibility for the set up of the conditions, allowances, rates and rules that apply to your employees.
The award template system lets users retrieve base-level settings for their industry using the ClockOn pre-built Award templates. This is designed to assist with reducing the time between adding employees and processing payrolls.
The templates provided settings focusing on the following;
- Ruleset settings including
- Overtime triggers,
- Overtime rate sheets,
- Penalty and loading conditions,
- Super configuration rules.
- Allowance sets
- This includes a listing of allowances standard to the award and allows for the quick deployment to employees.
- Rate Sets
- Provides an updated listing of the minimum pay rates per employment category as expressed in the award.
- Leave accrual setup including settings for;
- Statutory Annual Leave,
- Personal Leave, and
- Long Service Leave (NSW-based)
Companies that are required to accrue Long Service Leave at a rate that differs from the NSW standard will need to adjust the leave settings after applying the template. The settings for this can be adjusted from the Rule Set > Leave > Long Service Leave section.
Please note, manual adjustments to these settings will not trigger the modified flag for the award, also applying an update will not override your custom settings.
Rule Set settings for payroll roundings are not included in the Award template settings and if desired will need to be applied manually.
